Ive got an agent i LOVE! I know, shock.

He's so not (annoying) pushy, or a bullshitter like some, he honestly cant do enough for me.

Its an online agent so the fee is £1500, i do viewings, but that covers pics floorplan and their fee obviously.

I want to get him something to say thank you. I dont know him well enough to know what he drinks etc but in anycase i was thinking money, as whats a better pres than money!

My Q is, how much? Based on what ive paid for the service.

Thank you

I would be unsure of giving money, many professions have to declare any gifts above a certain amount.

Movinghouseatlast · 22/09/2020 10:11

Send him flowers or something. I would imagine he wouldn't be able to accept a cash gift.

Rainbowshine · 22/09/2020 10:19

Just write a thank you card and write a review. Most can’t accept gifts other than token items like a cheap biro from suppliers let alone a tip. The review will be worth more to them than a one off gift anyway.

The review and card would be great.

Get him a nice bottle of whiskey or similar. He would probably feel weird about accepting cash even if he is allowed to..

Autumnleaves200 · 22/09/2020 10:46

I agree, a review they can use on their instagram etc would be better than a present. Maybe a bottle of wine if you really want to give him something? If he doesn’t drink it he can always regift

Card, bottle of bubbly, one of the most well received at my old office was a huge box of Krispy kremes. We had to be careful about what we were allowed to actually accept. Money was a no.

Mine saved us over 10K - our the seller had decided at the last moment to increase the price by 10k or he would put the house back on the market. We wanted the house so much and asked my estate agent to agree to the increase despite it over-stretching us. EA said no, the house had been priced correctly and he was chancing his arm at the 11th hour. EA was right, we stuck fast and we got the house for the agreed price. I did buy my EA a thank you gift to the value of about £60/70. They really appreciated it.
