Have you set up any direct debits for anything recently?

QforCucumber · 03/09/2020 17:33

Its the help 2 buy agent. Do you have a help 2 buy mortgage or similar?

TerryChoc · 03/09/2020 23:21

We did do a help to buy as in the ISA and government loan with new build but don’t remember any direct debit set up just yet. They’re only taking a small amount so not sure what even is the point?

It's help to buy. They start taking interest payments after 5 years

QforCucumber · 04/09/2020 12:44

Is it £1 or £2 a month? If so that's the management fee. The direct debit details are given when you apply for the help2buy loan.

TerryChoc · 07/09/2020 13:55

Sorry @QforCucumber just seen that response, that is handy to know thank you for your help!

ChessieFL · 01/12/2021 12:29

The help to buy loan is interest free for 5 years then you start paying interest on it, so the timescales you’ve quoted make sense.

Arczito · 01/12/2021 12:31

Noone told me anytime , no letter no email . Noone say how mutch and for how long !!!!

That's my email

[email protected]

To connect me

It will be in your original agreement that the interest charges start after 5 years, but I think when ours started they did write to me. You need to contact them and ask for the details - try [email protected] (yes it’s the same company). You might want to report your post above as you’ve just posted your email address on the internet.
