Where do we stand on this? Any consumer rights?

Our washing machine has packed up.
It's only 3 years old but out of warranty.
It was only a cheapo £200ish beko that we purchased on an old (interest free) credit card.
We no longer have that card, when the interest free was up we paid the balance and closed the account.
Would I be unreasonable to expect a washing machine to last longer than it has? Is there anything we can do?

I think 3 years nowadays is fine for a washing machine especially as it was a cheaper model. They're not made to last very long anymore unfortunately

Yep agreed - no comeback and 3 years isn't ridiculously short. I've also had to get a new one this week as mine has packed up Hmm

I think the consensus is 6 years for white goods. I guess it depends how much of a fight you are willing to put up with for £200.
I would try to save up for a proper brand.
