My payslip- why may this be?

Could anyone shed a light on why this may be, whilst I wait to speak with our payroll.
Since April my pay has changed consistently back and forth by 20p....
So April is was £X.51
May £X.71
June £X.51
July £X.71

I get child care vouchers and a pension deduction- it’s just bizarre. Am I missing something?

Evening, @OnlyFoolsnMothers - we've moved your thread over to Money Matters now, as requested.

Hope that helps. Smile

It’s just the rounding difference in the payroll month upon month. £1 at 20% (Assuming you’re a basic rate taxpayer) = 20p

Gross pay is rounded by HMRC calculation systems, so as said above, it's rounding.

In simple terms (this isn't how it works but demonstrates the idea) if, say, you're paid £7.40. In the first week, you're taxed on £7, in the second week the cumulative pay is £14.80 which is rounded down to £14, so you're only taxed on £7 again, but in the third week, your cumulative pay is £22.20, rounded down to £22, but you've only been taxed sof far on £14, so you get taxed on £8 for the third week, i.e. an extra 20p tax (at 20%).
