Tax Credits and Child repeating year 12

Could anyone help please?

My year 12 needs to repeat the year from September (bullying issues caused her to miss a lot of school and then covid). She will be 18 next summer. Will I still be eligible for CTC and WTC as she will be at school until just after her 19th birthday?

As far as i can recall tax credits is paid up until a "child" is 20 providing they are in full time education...i may be wrong..

They are paid up to the term of their 20th birthday.

As long as in full time education.

A few years ago my dd decided after year 12 to change her alevels, so in affect she was in the 6th form for 3 years. We got tax credits for her until the August of the 3rd year.

Yes, DD1 was a year behind for medical reasons so was 19 while in Y13 and we got it.
