Is a mortgage broker worth it?

I’ve never used a broker before but my fixed rate is coming to an end and I want to do the best thing. My mortgage is £65,000 and house worth £90,000. I work full time but have a low income which limits my mortgage options anyway.
I think at that low end of the market it’s probably not worth paying for a broker and just using a comparison site. Would you agree? Or could there still be a saving to be made?

I used L&C as a first time buyer to take the edge of my nerves but haven’t bothered since as if you can find something suitable with a comparison site and your requirements are straightforward I can’t quite see the point
