How much disposable income is good per week for a good lifestyle? In your opinion.

It's really impossible to say, OP.

Depends very much on your lifestyle, social circle, cost of living, children's ages, what you enjoy doing...

Why don't you tell us a bit about yourself to make it more relevant?

Thats hard, depends where you live and what counts to you as good lifestyle.
Say if after all costs from cleaner to hairdresser to savings to clothes and shoes shopping id say if you have 300+ GBP then thats good.

How long is a piece of string? What do you expect to be able to have?

The amount that people spend on all sorts of things varies enormously. Some people do their grocery shopping in Aldi and spend £60-80 pw and are perfectly happy. Others expect to be able to shop in Waitrose and buy whatever they fancy and spend £2-300 pw.

Latest iphone at £60 pm or standard android and sim only averaging a quarter of the cost?

Supermarket clothes or Reiss/Cos etc?

3* AI in Benidorm or high end Mallorcan villa with housekeeper for holidays?

Etc etc etc.

Different people count different things in essential bills, so it's impossible to say.

Do you count clothes, hairdresser trips, alcohol, take aways, activities, presents etc...in essentials or to be paid with disposable income?

We live on roughly $150 (AUD) a week, after all of our bills, petrol, food shop etc. There's 3 of us and we live rurally which is quite cheap day to day as we spend a lot of our time outdoors or on our own land which is all free, but we do buy a fair bit of mid to high end alcohol and we like going out for breakfast on a Sunday morning. We never really buy clothes, cosmetics or gadgets because we aren't interested in them.

As others have said it hugely depends on your family and what sort of things are important to you.
