Professional indemnity insurance: how do I find out about it?

I'm a freelance editor, and I've recently been invited to put my name to a tender document, to write online copy for a website offering training resources for professionals in the voluntary and community sector.

My questions are:

  1. What are my liabilities as a named individual on the tender document? Or don't I have any unless and until a contract is signed?

  2. What forms of insurance, exactly, do I need to think about?

(The issue hasn't come up so far because my usual clients don't require indemnities.)

Very grateful for any advice anyone can give.
