Any good websites that will help me figure out what benefits I will be eligible for once I become single.

I can't seem to find actual figures on the gov website, I was going to go to the CAB but I found out there isn't one in the town.

I am really struggling to get my head around the finacial implications never mind the emotions. Too much debt and I can't get a full time job.

not sure how that all adds up, I suppose I will have to go into "the social" and ask what is what. I just wanted to keep my cards close to my cheast until I figured out what my best options are.

Do you work at all? If not its about , I think...57 a week income support, topped up with tax credits to about 130 and with child benefit about 130 a month, this is for 2 children.
And rent paid if you rent.
This is going on what my friend got last year.
I am self employed, I have given them an estimate of 5 grand a years and my tax credits are 160 a week. Not sure about rent yet. But if I have to pay my rent and council tax with that I will have £45 a week to live off with 2 kids and will need to make my ebaying WORK!

charliecat · 07/09/2007 20:57

the 57 and 130 was a week.
and an extra 130 a month.

Would you be keeping the mortgage? Will dh be paying CSA? I am going to bed now, my email is [email protected] if you want a listening ear. Freshly split myself.

Skribble · 07/09/2007 21:12

I am hoping to stay here and continue the mortgauge as it is for 60,000 and I could buy or rent anything decent for that amount, and I don't want to have to change schools or anything really for the kids.

DH will pay support, I checked on the CSA and it would only be £64 a week. I think he would pay more if he could, he talked about paying the mortgauge. But I would have to take on the bills and some of the debt. He wouldn't be able to afford much himself.

We were considering him sleeping on the sofa and staying here for a while to save disrupting the kids but I don't think I can handle having him and his stuff everywhere. He works a lot and is away or wrking late too, so its not we would be sitting togehter everynight.
