Should we put our life insurance in trust? Use a broker?

Just starting to look into life insurance options, rather later than we prob should have. There's so much to absorb. We're potentially looking at £150-220/month for Life and CI coverage for a 25yr £850k policy.

I'm wondering if we should put our LI in a trust. Does anyone have experience of this? Do we need to go through a solicitor? A broker? And other than word of mouth, how do you go about finding a good broker/solicitor to handle this sort of thing?

Sorry for all the newbie questions. Just finding it a bit overwhelming!

Life insurance is generally written in trust so it passes outside the estate. A comparison site can give you prices. That’s a hugely expensive life insurance policy you mentioned but CI is expensive.
