Time for a new Fred, huns. We watch bots (people who have signed up to multi level marketing schemes which are thinly veiled pyramid schemes). We expose their lies, in the hope that fewer vulnerable people will be sucked in to buying a fake business. This is not trolling. It's calling them out on their fakery. Welcome, huns.

Ok , so if I want to be one step ahead then I just need to set myself up as a coach who coaches coaches who coach people. Right?

What colour suitcase do I need to be taken seriously?

Spongebobette · 19/02/2020 21:28

I keep seeing ads on YouTube where you can learn to be a business coach and earn loads

Weird

SnoogyWoo · 19/02/2020 23:07

I can save them all loads of money on coaches by telling them a little secret....

Just get on and do it!

This is the ad I keep getting.

@DoraExplorer99 that always seems to be the part that bots conveniently leave out when comparing MLM to traditional jobs. It’s terrible that people are losing money when no one should have to work for less than the national minimum wage, or better yet the living wage.
I’ve been off sick this week and have a supportive employer who pays me while I’m off. If I was a bot I’d have to keep shilling, buy extra aloe and pretend I don’t get ill because I take aloe Hmm

Twentytwentyhindsight · 20/02/2020 09:47

The other thing the bots forget when saying that all J.O.B.S are pyramid schemes is that their own companies also have CEOs, directors, and layers of management and employees at the corporate level, all fed by the MLM pyramid below.

So, in their own terms, MLMs are pyramids schemes sitting on top of pyramid schemes, all fed by the losses at the bottom end of the bottom pyramid.

The point has already been made that, in a real job, while there is an unequal and mainly unfair distribution of revenue, that revenue comes from outside the organisation, not within it. Employees are maybe not paid enough, but they don't empty their bank accounts to pay their uplines or the company owners...

Bluewavescrashing · 20/02/2020 11:17

I can't decide if PhD's behaviour is best described as arrogant, deluded or laughable in her attempts to earn a 7 figure income as a coach whilst also paying a coach. Ridiculous.

Coaches teaching coaching. It's becoming a new meta-pyramid scheme within MLM. I've also seen coaches selling spaces to speak at their seminars and then getting those speakers to sell tickets and recruit other speakers for money. Recruiting is just in their nature, even after quitting MLM and moving into coaching, they still can't resist it :D

fromdownwest · 20/02/2020 11:41

@bluewavescrashing - I think it is nothing more than outright narcissism and inflated self worth.

Bluewavescrashing · 20/02/2020 13:17

True. And in a couple if years she will say that at this point in her 'career' she had no confidence or self belief 😂

Don’t forget the MLMs are willable! ( was watching some bot bang on about that on a live ) surely it’s just passing your ID number on?

fromdownwest · 20/02/2020 13:48

7 figures - that is a MILLION pounds a year INCOME.

Top consultant Cardiologists do not earn that, why on earth do they think that by flogging a few 'positive' mindset course, they would command that salary.

The more I look into the coaching, coaching the coaches, the more mad it appears

Twentytwentyhindsight · 20/02/2020 14:12

@fromdownwest - it is the logical next step fro MLMs.

MLMs are thinly disguised pyramid schemes hiding behind a product. There is no money to be made from flogging what is inevitably an overpriced and poor quality product on the open market (no matter what outlandish and illegal health or weight loss claims they tag into it), so the money comes from recruiting more 'pay to play' bots who will fork out for the starter pack and become "their own best customers", while desperately trying to recruit others.

PhD is merely cutting out the pretence of a product being necessary moving closer to a pure pyramid scheme, where you pay to be 'coached' in coaching others, who will pay you to learn how to get paid by coaching others in how to coach others to be paid by others...

It is exactly the same principle. No real value is generated, and the only financial flows are within the pyramid, from the bottom to the top until there is no-one left to coach, at which point the edifice collapses.

In fact, far from disproving that MLMs are square-based-pointy-topped schemes designed to milk those who join to the benefit of those at the top, her new coaching 'venture' is proof that they are exactly the same.

Gotmychocolateimgood · 20/02/2020 14:32

I like the idea of mini pyramids within pyramids or balancing precariously on top of other pyramids. Pretty geometric shapes

                         🔼
                      🔼🔼
                    🔼🔺🔼
                  🔼🔼🔼🔼

Do you like what I did there?

Gotmychocolateimgood · 20/02/2020 14:33

Rargh. It was nicely centred when I typed it.

💩 is also pyramid shaped, if a little squashy. Coincidence? I think not.

hunzuncovered · 20/02/2020 17:48

The willable side is a joke.

It means that someone is handed your 'business' and in some mlms the level that the person was in is dropped. You are then left to work this business yourself.

Goingunderground2 · 20/02/2020 18:28

New poster here but long time lurker, but shocked to see the bots recruiting on a money matters thread Sad. You've really opened my eyes to all things mlm. Maybe it's the first time I've noticed them doing this but it's really bothered me!!

Reformed1Bot · 20/02/2020 22:46

My source tells me there is suspicion in the ranks of FL! Names flying round trying to figure out who the ex-FLPers are that post on these threads. They have a mole very much on the inside and they don't even realise it. Trust noone in the murkly world of MLM...

fromdownwest · 20/02/2020 23:16

Just saw PHD post - I hate to do this with storm Dennis and all, but here is me riding a horse on a beach in the sun,

Translated - I am not sorry that thousands of people have had their lifes, homes and businesses ruined, people lost their lifes, but look how great my life is....

Truly one of a kind

Spongebobette · 20/02/2020 23:44

Lol @Reformed1Bot I think there is more than one mole!

Reformed1Bot · 21/02/2020 08:38

@Spongebobette indeed!!! They are so desperate to know they are turning on each other, but in classic MLM style it is being done in secret group chats slagging each other off including their own current and past uplines and downlines whilst posting #BeKind

Spongebobette · 21/02/2020 09:21

There’s a really nasty mean girls undercurrent running through MLMs.
People being nice and super positive in a rather fake way until you step out of line by asking the wrong question or complaining
Then there’s a pile on and you are eventually ostracised unless you step back into line
The uplines create the culture and it’s reproduced all the way down

fromdownwest · 21/02/2020 09:30

I know through personal experience that one of the well talked about top bots on here is a really nasty piece of work. Not the picture that is painted.

Literally walks around ignoring people, nose in the air, ridiculing people. I am amazed people actually sign up with this bot...

mlmingaheartbeat · 21/02/2020 09:36

When you strip away the veneer of some of the top bots - you see the truly vindictive and a horrible glint of greedy, manipulative type of people they really are!
