Time for a new Fred, huns. We watch bots (people who have signed up to multi level marketing schemes which are thinly veiled pyramid schemes). We expose their lies, in the hope that fewer vulnerable people will be sucked in to buying a fake business. This is not trolling. It's calling them out on their fakery. Welcome, huns.

Is one of the bots a scientist (can use the title 'doctor'?). I've posted about this before, my company has an FL bot working as a contracted wellness consultant 🤦🏻‍♀️ I've seen her on stage in an old photo and she references FL in her opening presentation.

Maydayredalert · 15/02/2020 19:11

Oof that reflection. Those C9s working a treat then!

Gotmychocolateimgood · 15/02/2020 19:46

Please will someone inbox me the reflection? 🙏📩

Bovneydazzlers · 15/02/2020 20:04

I reckon Yawn’s weight has been discussed enough on this thread now. I appreciate while there is a disconnect between flogging weight loss solutions and the fact that they have their own weight struggles; but I think it’s been debated enough now.

Jonsey32 · 15/02/2020 20:31

Totally agree - leave the weight alone.

JJay22 · 15/02/2020 21:00

Wow I can’t believe what I’m reading. You guys spend your lives stalking these women and slagging them off on mumsnet. No doubt you’re also sharing RIP Caroline / it’s good to talk / be kind shit at the same time as partaking in all this toxic abuse. Imagine what you could be doing with your kids in the time you spend hating these women on here. You should all be ashamed

SnoogyWoo · 15/02/2020 21:02

@JJay22 which MLM are you in?

JJay22 · 15/02/2020 21:05

I’m not in an MLM? I just happened upon this thread and I am shocked, particularly given today’s news.

Bluewavescrashing · 15/02/2020 21:11

This is nothing to do with Caroline Flack. I've never mentioned her in a post, I don't think!

OP posts:
JJay22 · 15/02/2020 21:12

The connection to Caroline is the trolling / online abuse / pure nastiness. My comment wasn’t about Caroline, I merely mentioned that as no doubt the people who post this shit are then hypocritical when it comes to something like that. I’m surprised this is allowed on a mums page. I mean you’re day to day stalking these women! Just wow.

Ladiva1971 · 15/02/2020 21:18

Wasn't she accused of domestic abuse?

Bluewavescrashing · 15/02/2020 21:18

No, we are not trolling or abusing.

We are calling them out on their bullshit when they say their pretend business offers a genuine opportunity to others, when in fact it is very likely to cause debt and emotional trauma. They knowingly target vulnerable women who cannot afford to chase an impossible dream. They peddle ineffective and in some cases dangerous products which have no proven benefits to health. They lie constantly. Some of us have been tricked into joining these companies and have had horrible experiences. Families have suffered.

Just wow. Have you been hanging around other MLM based threads? Sounds familiar.

FYI1985 · 15/02/2020 21:33

I have to say that I agree with @JJay22 here.

I have been following these threads for a while.

Some of the comments here do well to bring awareness to the devastation that MLMs can bring. I have been involved in an MLM before (and was there for over a year) and it literally broke me.

This thread could be used to bring awareness to those seeking information about MLMs and hopefully deterring the vulnerable from joining.

However, the majority of posters on here seem to use this thread as a witch-hunt. Tearing women down, commenting on their weight, showing disapproval for them as mothers (isn’t being a mum hard enough without others tearing you apart for it?), making nasty comments about the clothes they wear, their make up, how they speak, what their homes look like.

Anyone of you that has made a comment like that should be ashamed of yourselves. How many more lives need to be lost before online bullying stops? By all means bring awareness to the awful side of MLMs - that is needed but the bullying and personal comments is not necessary. This thread has come so far from its original purpose that you’ve all become part of the problem.

Spongebobette · 15/02/2020 21:38

Bang on @BSintolerant

It’s not about weight

It’s about lies and deception

It’s about exposing the whole MLM edifice of attraction marketing led seduction

It’s about exposing top bots who lie about their success, their income, their business. Some of whom flog magic weight loss solutions which they themselves are living proof that they are counter productive. Some of whom go to Success Days and do presentations about how to build a successful business when they themselves are bankrupt and have defaulted on agreements to HMRC

It’s the hypocrisy, the preying on vulnerable and suggestible people.

BSintolerant · 15/02/2020 21:42

@Spongebobette I’m not sure why you’ve tagged me.

Spongebobette · 15/02/2020 21:44

Oops! Tagged the wrong person ( both begin with a b...)

🤣

Ah, I wondered what I’d done for a minute. Looks like Bluewaves is also intolerant of BS, as are most right thinking contributors to this thread.

Have we got a Bot invasion? Anyone fancy a bit of Stilton? Grin

Spongebobette · 15/02/2020 22:07

Welcome bots.

Do tell us all about how MLM top bots are blameless and are victims, aren’t liars and don’t exploit their victims

Bluewavescrashing · 15/02/2020 22:09

I'm intolerant of 💩 definitely!

I think some of us have been chatting so long, some under different names, that we sometimes point things out that highlight the lies, without reiterating the fact that it shows the lie.

Eg the fact that one of the bots is living in an extremely expensive London flat and spends a lot of time posting pics of it, the pool etc. We wonder how he can afford it when his pretend business is not successful.

It's just so brazen. Attraction marketing.

Whiterangey · 15/02/2020 22:20

Caroline Flack lost everything, she lost her job, wasn't allowed to see her boyfriend and had an upcoming criminal court case where she was facing charges for domestic abuse.

The media tore her to shreds, this wasn't online trolls, this was the media. Also, if she was guilty, the criminal stuff was entirely on her, we will never know now.

If you are famous and you get arrested, the media will be there. Domestic abuse is serious.

The biggest threat to her mental health was the total destruction of her life caused by the police and the charge of assault. She had lost everything.

If bots want to draw parallels between the anti-mlm movement slagging them off for ruining countless people's lives, and Caroline Flacks suicide, then those bots are sick and twisted for using someone's suicide for their own despicable ends.

It's disgusting for those like Yawn to do this, when you think they couldn't be any more vile, they still surprise you.

Spongebobette · 15/02/2020 22:23

It is desperately, desperately sad when someone takes their own life

If MLM bots use this tragedy to further their own ambitions, I will not be surprised.

FYI1985 · 15/02/2020 22:35

@spongebobette top bots are liars and they 100% exploit their victims.

That’s why I wish these threads were used to deter people from joining and not to comment on people’s weight/appearances.

If I’d come across these threads when I was in MLM I would have just passed you all off as vile bullies rather than seeing the real message that should be the main focus here (the devastation that MLMs can cause).

Spongebobette · 15/02/2020 22:43

The devastation is caused by the lies and deceptions which we expose here

Welcome, and please do share your story. It might help someone who is currently in the same situation you were in before you saw the light.

People who come forward and expose these MLMs for what they are, exploitative schemes which leave 99% worse off than when they started, are doing a very good deed.

Spongebobette · 15/02/2020 22:45

(although you will likely be dismissed as a bitter failure at network marketing who has turned to bullying those who worked hard, believed in themselves and never gave up)
