Paying back Help to Buy loan (without moving house)

I have no idea where to start.

Do I get the independent valuation first and then approach a mortgage broker? When do i have to contact a solicitor? I know there are loads of forms too!

I will have to buy myself out of a fix. They are building a new super estate near me so the price of the house has already shot up and I’m concerned about waiting.

Is this actually easy and I’m just stupid? Sad

We've just done this.
We firstly checked local sold prices to get an idea of the value, asked a couple of estate agents for valuations and then checked with our mortgage provider we could increase by the amount required - this was fine.
The instructed the valuation, The valuer was fab - they can use similar sold prices within a 3 mile radius.
At the same time asked for some solicitors quotes for redeeming the help to buy.
went with one we were recommended, sent the valuation to Help to buy with their fee and form as soon as received. All processed on Monday just gone.

Thanks for the reply! So you didn’t change mortgage provider? I was hoping to get a lower rate (even with the remortgage I would now be under 75%) as current rate is over 2.5%

I hade contacted a RICS valuation person- thought I’d use them, then approach a mortgage broker, then get a solicitor? Does that sound right?
