Univeral credit advice

Hello
I'm new to universal credit and split from partner.
I'm moving into a rented property in 2 weeks with just my daughter.
I work a zero hour contract and my hours range from 14 to 24 in a week..I recieve no holiday pay or sick pay.
So my question is does this effect my universal credit as my hours fluctuate and differ each week. What happens when I'm of work on the school holidays for a few days.
Also to add to this there isn't much work for me in the month of December so again where do I stand?
I work in property and employed by the company but worried I will struggle financially.

One week I work two days a week and then the next 3 days a week. Confused

You'll get a base rate for personal, child and housing which it's set and won't change.

In each assessment period they will find out your income and call it 'take home pay'. They ignore the first £287 earnt, anything earnt over that they will deduct 63p from the UC for every pound you earn.

I work 16 hours a week. I get about 150 deducted.

An assessment period is one calendar month

Thank you Stabbitha that makes sense. It's all a mine field.

These things are never really explained when you apply for u/credit x
