I receive child care vouchers at work- my salary keeps me within the "basic tax rate" and so I get £243 in childcare vouchers a month.
My bonus that is paid at the end of January takes me into the higher tax bracket. Do I just instruct my company to pay me the lower £124 a month- do I owe HMRC money? , how does it correct itself?
Sorry to ask but even my payroll company has no idea on this one.
I will be filling out my first self assessment this year to pay back a proportion of my child benefit so Im wondering if it comes up in that form?
TIA!
