Is anyone being naturally migrated to universal credit yet?

Without making any changes to their current tax credits or working hours?

I'm hoping that I've got time on my side as I don't plan any changes but I worry that UC will "find" me and I'll be moved over soon.
FWIW I'm in Hampshire.

Is there a list of areas they are doing it in, with dates? I thought I'd seen one.

Babyroobs · 14/12/2019 19:36

I think it is only a pilot of 10, 000 cases in Harrogate at the moment. As far as I know there have been no details released of which areas are next.

My neighbour is in the ESA support group and I know she is very worried about being migrated over. Is there a list of dates for that yet please?

Babyroobs · 14/12/2019 21:21

If your neighbour gets severe disability premium on her esa then she wont be move over for a while.

Other than Harrogate, they’re not expecting to begin managed migration until November 2020. And even then it’s likely to be done by area (not nationwide)

Thanks all.
It's that constant fear of the brown envelope. Fingers crossed I've got many months left.

Great, thank you. I'll let her know.

Im on it. I had to make a change to my tax credits and they said that warranted a whole new claim and threw me off everything.
It took 5 weeks and 3 interviews at the job centre , even though i work fulltime, before they told me my claim had been successful. Ive now received it 3 months running

Its ok. Its very odd receiving ALL your benefits in one monthly lump but you just have to be sensible and remember you have bills and rent to pay for .

Would Changing jobs force a move, if you get DLA and carers allowance for 1 of ur children?

megletthesecond · 16/12/2019 18:25

I'm wondering if taking my after school childcare fees off (dd finishes primary in July) will force the move in the summer.

Kidssendingmenuts · 16/12/2019 18:30

No it doesn't trigger it if you take childcare off as it won't warrant a new claim. I took mine off and I'm still on tax credits and that was last jan x

If you’re also on HB when your migrated to UC you should get a two week run on of HB - which means the 5 week wait for money for the housing element is diminished to three weeks. So make sure you get the 2 weeks money from HB
