getting out of a 1 months notice period

Right, so I started a new job on the 4th Nov 2019, I absolutely hate it so I've applied for a new job which I've successfully been short listed and have an interview with them tomorrow. My concern is, when they asked me how much notice I would have to give to my current employer, I said 1 week as I am in a 6 month probationary period, but then upon looking at my current contract, it says 1 months notice is required! I'm now so worried that if I am offered the job tomorrow, I'm going to have to tell them that I'll not be able to start for another month and that they won't be happy about that and decide not to employ me. What can I do???

At the interview, tell them you’ve reviewed your current contract and it’s actually 1 months notice and your sorry for the error of telling them it was a weeks notice and hope it doesn’t affect your chances.
Or
Hand your notice in with immediate effect at your current job, if offered the new one and say you won’t be coming back and risk them not providing a reference (if the new job requires one) and generally leave them in the lurch to get someone to cover the work you were doing.

They may not ask you to work the 1 month notice when you resign, especially since you haven’t been there long
You could request to go with 1 weeks notice.

Does the current job close for Christmas? It might suit them just as much to negotiate your notice down given that you've only been there a month, and that they're likely to be closed for some of your notice period anyway.

Get the job offer first, and then talk to your manager and try to come to an agreement.

But, if you leave with one weeks notice, what can your current employers do about it? Nothing!

I deal with recruitment for the company I work for. If someone mentions to me at interview that they will not work their full notice for existing employer to enable an early start with us I tend not to offer, if they will do that to the last employer they will do it to you. 4 weeks is fairly staqdard and should not be a problem.

Unless the new job is something like a restaurant or shop where they want extra staff for the Christmas period, they'll probably be perfectly happy with you starting in the New Year, which is a month away anyway.

Is it really one month notice during the probation?
I’ve worked place where during the probation period they don’t have to give you a month but just a weeks notice
