Yes, thread 55 in a long series!
Thinking of joining an MLM? Forever Living? NuSkin? Younique? Valentus? One of the cryptocurrencies, weight loss coffees or travel agencies?
Read these threads first!
The vast majority of people who join an MLM actually LOSE money.
You don't have a business when you join an MLM, you are an unpaid rep.
On these threads you will find lots of examples of how 'uplines' lie to hook you in and keep you spending your own money.
You should also inform yourself by looking at

My fave was a video from a top JP bot.

Along the lines of..

'What do I get my wife for Christmas, she has everything, I have no clue what to buy her...she has such a successful business she earns so much she buys what she wants....'

It is all so contrived and tacky.

Genuine question - what will these clowns do when the cards come tumbling down?

JackDelaney · 19/12/2019 14:23

Sorry while I'm at it. Can reps stop with the imaginary questions that people keep asking them....

"People keep asking me how I stay so positive"
"People keep asking me how I can acheive a 5 figure income while raising 3 kids"
"I've had so many people asking me about our new products which are coming out soon"
"People keep asking me how I use the law of attraction to manifest my dreams into reality."

The list goes on. It seems to be a common way to talk about something...to pretend you've been asked about it. But again, we know the market is absolutely dead and you don't get asked anything about anything. You're not fooling anyone.

MontanaSkies · 19/12/2019 14:31

Yes @jackdelaney! And everyone knows it. Most people are familiar with social media influencers - the ones who truly are influential and successful - getting TONS of likes, comments, questions, engagement. We can see it on their posts. Whereas even the top bots struggle to get a handful of likes on their product posts. It's literally unbelievable that all these people are asking them about their biz.

fromdownwest · 19/12/2019 14:34

Lots of plans in place for their best year yet. They seem to do a lot of planning but have very little output.
The cynic would say it’s a great way to have commitment and ignore ones own though process.

Samsmam2 · 19/12/2019 14:39

And bruv calls it ‘lush’ - does he know another word 😂😂😂 he only seems to have one.

He’ll be doing that as part of his imagined brand/personality development.

Both “lush“ and “Cwtsh” (“cuddle”) were widely adopted by non-Welsh speaking inhabitants of Wales following the frequent exposure of both words in episodes of Gavin & Stacey. I cringe every time I hear them.

CodenameVillanelle · 19/12/2019 14:44

Castle's kid's school name is on her page. I've sent them a screenshot.

Tupperwarelid · 19/12/2019 15:29

I’ve watched it a few times and can’t understand a word he’s saying to be honest

Wow bruv that’s a lot of c9 to shift, Yawn, receipt and probably a lot more gotta shift old stock. My JP bot trying to push their equivalent.
Gembot trying to get people to buy a pitiful teachers gift. My DD gets high end perfume and bags and vouchers for spas, meals, shopping etc
The bots have no idea about children’s safeguarding issues.I hope schools, parents etc pull them up about this and give a public shaming.

screwthepyramids · 19/12/2019 20:01

We can post our own child's nativity pictures online if we want as long as no other child is in the picture. We can also use the ones the school posts online as they know which children's parents have or have not allowed that.

JasperRising · 19/12/2019 20:32

From a BBC article on past winners of the Apprentice "Last year, Ma [Tropic founder] was named on the prestigious Forbes 30 Under 30 list, in the retail and E-commerce category." A bit depressing really given the MLM business model.

BetsyTiger · 19/12/2019 21:17

@screwthepyramids my children's school is the opposite. There's a small talk at the beginning of each play to explain that parents cannot record or take photographs of their child for safeguarding reasons. The school send a photograph home of your child in costume instead. The head teacher also says that she prefers friends and family to watch, enjoy and immerse themselves in the play. I have to say I agree. I don't have images of my children on any of my social media and I wouldn't be happy if other parents had photos online with my children in them. This genuinely scares me the most about MLM, the amount of information out there about their children.

Spongebobette · 19/12/2019 21:34

Totally agree. The way in which these bots with large followings share photos and videos of their children on public pages is so thoughtless

@spongebobette I agree, thoughtless and a gross invasion of their privacy. When these children become adults they're most likely not going to appreciate all of the "funny" stories their parents put online, or that photograph of them in the bath, or the videos made of them peddling the product on their parents behalf (unfortunately this happens and makes me so sad).

Norma27 · 20/12/2019 06:34

Yawn and receipt must be selling a box of shite to the same customer! I do not understand these copy and paste posts. So bizarre and really makes them very stupid.

Jigsawpuzzle · 20/12/2019 08:57

So some of Uber’s previous customers have unused C9, says it all really.
For all the brainstorming they have the bots are unable to come up with something new and fresh.

Dhalandchips · 20/12/2019 09:06

Is there any wau5of finding out who all these people are, so I can go and laugh at their FB pages?

Dhalandchips · 20/12/2019 09:07

Sorry, sausage fingers

CodenameVillanelle · 20/12/2019 09:56

Uber is 'torn singer' then 'trainers with wheels on - things to protect your armour from arrows'
Yawn is 'au...de la lune' then 'bettyyyyyyy'
Who else do you want to know?

Dhalandchips · 20/12/2019 10:01

@vilanelle thank you, how about castle? (genius BTW!)

CodenameVillanelle · 20/12/2019 10:04

Castle is 'Ross and Rachel's baby' then 'barrel maker'

Dhalandchips · 20/12/2019 10:05

Oh lordy, de la lune betttttyyyyy is so in deeeeep!

9dartfinish2nd · 20/12/2019 10:50

So what is the official FLP party line on bots allegedly buying their way to promotions?

I'm guessing it's frowned upon publicly but privately they don't give a rats ass as it's money making it's way up the three pointed square to the benefit of the people at the top.
