Premier bank cards

I had someone pay with an unusual Natwest card today that was black and had 'Premier' written on it. I'm used to keeping an eye out for the nice designs they have on Credit cards these days - but this was a debit card (it had 'Visa Debit' in bold on it).

So the first thing I did when I came home was look it up and I was shocked to find out you need to earn 100k to carry around a card like that. And I seem to have unearther a whole world of these - every bank seems to offer one to their uber rich. These things com with their own conciegre services and free lounge access and stuff.

Are these common? Do you have one? Do people usually notice when you use these? Do people usually get these to be noticed? I don't see the point of these cards otherwise?

We have a private banking account with Lloyds. We've had f**k all from them, apart from a phone call every few months. They closed down our local office and moved our account to one many miles away, so we can't easily pop in and speak face to face with them anymore.
We also have a Premier debit card with them, that's black and comes with various benefits which we do utilise. Never had anyone notice when I pay for anything as it doesn't look too different to an ordinary Classic debit card.

Old topic now I know, but it looks like you get a £2000 daily withdrawal limit with a Barclays Premier account. On top of that it seems that from 2022 they have now cancelled the £20 monthly fee to keep the account, so it would be worth having if you qualify with over £100k in savings or investments with Barclays, or earn £75k or more a year. I want one of those black cards. It says simply apply online by using the app, so maybe you only need to upload your ID and you won't have to go into an actual Barclays bank branch.
