Auto enrollment into work place pension schemes

I think these schemes are great but it's causing a dilemma for me and probably others too.
My problem is that I'm earning less than £12k per annum by temping for several different agencies and they're all auto enrolling me on their schemes. I'm going to end up with dozens of pots with tiny amounts in them. Trying to opt outand get refunds is a nightmare.
I love temping... It suits my lifestyle.

I just wish it was possible to have any employer/employee contributions paid into my existing scheme. I understand the benefits of tax relief of the schemes but in my case they're counter productive.
I've just signed a gov petition for low earners losing out on pension tax relief (see here... petition.parliament.uk/petitions/261267) but it doesn't really address my dilemma of wanting payments made to my existing pension scheme.
Just having a rant - sorry!

Just get them all to use NEST and then you have one scheme into which many employers pay - far simpler

They will not use Nest (although I didn't realise Nest was a government backed scheme) if they've already set up a scheme with a different company. This is the problem - the government obviously didn't think it through when they set the workplace scheme up - they were of the mindset that people still work at the same place for many years when in reality these days people have many different jobs and swop frequency.

Unfortunately there is nothing you can do but I agree it is a nightmare.

You’ve definitely can’t choose who your employer uses for the scheme

Or just transfer any amounts into your current scheme when you move on - zero penalty for up to three years employment
