Hi

I am really desperate and need to earn £400 by this Sunday. I don’t have a lot to sell but put everything I can on eBay cheap buy it now. Sold 2 items straight away to find out it takes 21 days for them to release the money! I couldn’t even really afford to post the 2 things I sold but I have and then taken everything else off because I can’t afford to wait 21 days as I can’t afford the postage. I have no skills, I’m just a complete and utter failure in all aspects of life but I do want to turn my life around. I am not a permanent employee and work in a college that hasn’t given me hours since June, I recently applied to Asda for checkouts but didn’t get it. I don’t know what to do and time is running out! Is there any websites which pay money that aren’t a scam? Not adult websites, yes I’m desperate but believe me no one will pay to see this anyway

Any advice greatly appreciated

@Hurtandconfused6537
Both Lloyd's and Halifax banks are offering money to switch to them and they both pay out within a week or so.
Might be worth a look ?

The thing is, if a LL is so unreasonable that he actively prohibits HB claims to the extent that he’s now not getting his rent, then given the choice between being evicted for non-payment of rent or squeezed out for claiming benefits, OP would retain more control and security by claiming benefit and paying rent.

Plus, if that’s his stance and IP is in a low and insecure income, she needs a better housing position in the mid to long term anyway. To wit, social housing.

Oh op! I hope you can sort something soon.

The landlord wouldn’t have any clue - you are paid the money and then you pay him. You will need to show your contract.

Call them first thing in the morning. It will take some weeks to get set up but they may be able to give you an emergency loan in the meantime.

Argh should have checked posting date!!

@Hurtandconfused6537 Hope you managed to work it out.
