Child care account balance

I have just found out that I have almost £600 in v old child care vouchers. My kids are in their late teens so obviously I won't be able to use this. Any ideas how I can access these funds (left employer a long time ago).

TIA

What I meant to say I no longer have the need for a registered childcare provider to use this money to pay them

Eeeeek - I remember seeing something about this before. It will be very difficult (maybe impossible) to ever get your money back I think. It has to be your employer who gives it back to you, and they are under no obligation to.

It's a salary sacrifice, so your tax etc was lower because you received them. They have to recalculate it all and ensure you now retrospectively pay the correct tax you should have paid etc.

Does your youngest teenager still like PGL activity camps? If so then vouchers may still be able to be used for that.

According to this, you can use them for tuition if that's of any use to you?

The short answer is you can’t. You no longer have children of the eligible age. A tiny minority of schemes can reimburse via your employer (and deduct tax and NI) but the vast vast majority can’t. And you no longer work for that employer so your chances are close to zero.

I speak having about £1,000 in unused childcare vouchers I have had to give up on following lots and lots of research.
