I am considering "selling" shares in the nursery as the latest suggestion for funding has fallen through.

Is there an easy way to do this or is it purely a stock market thing?

Ideally I'd like to sell 10 shares of £5K each which would each be approx 2.5% share of the business - so I would still own 75% of the nursery

Do you think it's possible or is it a "silly idea"

yes it can be done

I have a started with 1% share of my old bosses new buisness...
Now as more shares have come in i have 1/3 of 1%

if i sold my shares now (which i could) i could pay off my mortgage already however its all forcast and going even better in a few years time so i can off mine and both my parenst mortgages!

I know its a gamble but you only live once and im willing to take this gamble...

His last business floated on the stock market for over £100m
