Can someone help explain P800?

So the income on my p800 doesn’t match my salary? I’m not sure if I’m just unaware how they calculate it?
So I believe my salary to be approx £41,800
But based on my p800 for tax year 2018-19 my ‘income’ is £34,000 approx for my main job. Is that because that’s taxable income?

Would that mean my pension contributions and childcare vouchers are removed first? What else would be taken off before you have the ‘income’?

It's probably your taxable income, which is after your pension contributions and childcare vouchers are deducted as you get tax relief on both.
