Asking for wisdom of MN
I live in the UK, UK bank account. I’m buying books on amazon.com that will be processed and delivered in America.
Should I opt to pay in £ or $?
Thanks

What are you paying with?

CC and which one as some providers will charge you a fee if you elect to pay in $

If you pay in £ then Amazon will decide the exchange rate instead of your payment card, so it's a matter of which will charge you less.

If your bank card charges a fee per transaction it's likely that it will be better for Amazon to do the conversion, but if they don't, it is likely that your card will charge you less, but unless it's a biggish transaction, there's not likely to be much in it.

I have cards that I use on holiday to get the best rate with no charges (Starling Debit, Santander Zero or Halifax Clarity credit cards), so I would use one of those and pay in dollars.
