Hi, I have just noticed whilst ordering my domino’s Pizza, that the order must be made by someone over 18, due to it apparently being a legally binding contract. However if a 15 year old went to a dominos I know that they would allow them to order. So just wondering what the difference legally is?
I am guessing it’s to do with the fact that the order is placed online, because surely if you are entering a contract with everything you buy, then technically an under 18 would not be legally allowed to ever buy a product or food? Also some websites have a minimum age of 16, or even 14. So is it’s more to do with that some company’s are not comfortable with minors giveing out there personal details (such as addresses) and not because they can’t do so legally.
It’s just that I have though about this for some time now, as I have noticed that you’ve got to be 18 to buy products on some websites That would usually be non restricted. Also I think it is odd that many of these companies employ from 16, where obviously a contract must be signed.
Maybe I am being really think, but couldn’t find anything on google.
