Hi everyone
Does anyone know how the high income tax charge works for child benefit?y income will be more than £60k this year, will I pay the tax charge each month or be billed for it at the end of the tax year?
Thanks in advance!

if you claim child benefit you'll have to pay it all back in your tax return
if you do not claim then its no difference

The high earner needs to register for self assessment and declare the child benefit on their tax return. If over £60k it will all be paid back

As long as you do your tax return on time you can pay it through your tax code rather than as a lump sum.
