Emergency Electric

Hi, does anyone know if it is possible for EON to increase available emergency electric on key? Unfortunately I am right up the swanny without a paddle. I was victim of domestic violence recently which has left me with broken ribs and feet. Amazingly not enough evidence for CPS to prosecute. I am seeking an injunction.....sorry rambling!! Anyway husband no longer here (at home) but took what money I had left when arrested. My electric meter has £2 left on emergency and I dont get paid for 10 days. Shafted in more ways than one!!! He has keys so I have baracaded door and been given alarms by victim support. I am worried that if my electric goes off I won't be able to keep phone charged in case of emergency. I cannot get any assistance from benefit agency, and I don't know what to do. Anyone have any idea regarding EON?

Can you tweet them / instagram / Facebook that it’s urgent and you need to speak to someone?

Cititzens advice website says Your energy supplier might agree to give you temporary credit if you’ve run out of gas or electricity. Tell them about your situation, including your income and anyone you look after, so they know why you need temporary credit. You’ll need to pay this credit back next time you top up. Your supplier could charge you a fee if they have to come to your home to add temporary credit. They won't charge you if they can do it remotely or if it’s their fault - for example if a fault in your meter meant you couldn’t top up. If you need temporary credit, ask for it as soon as you can - some suppliers will need to send someone to put money on your meter.

We had an issue with our meter- it broke so we couldn't top it up & EOn were really helpful. Hang in there on the phone, it's all I can suggest.

WOW finally got through to EON and they were fantastic and have credited my meter with £19. That really is excellent service and a massive weight off my mind.
