Mortgage application

Hi
After some advice. I have recently split with my partner and have just received my payment for my share of the house. I plan to pay of all my debts and keep the rest for deposit for a new house. I was going to rent somewhere for 6 moths whilst my credit report updated etc. I have found a house I love and have an appointment with a mortgage advisor on Thursday, this weekend I have paid of all my debts - my credit report won’t have updated yet. Will my application be likely to be successful - if I can show I have paid these of - ie current bank statement showing payment made etc.?

I would do a soft application before you make any decisions.

I did the same but had to wait for my credit report to update before they’d offer me a mortgage. I had used a mortgage broker too. I withdrew from the property as when I explained the situation the seller obviously didn’t want to wait. However credit report updated three weeks later and property still available so went for it and completed in May.

Ah right, I will go ahead with my mortgage appointment, I might lose the house then if I do have to wait till the report updates, but be good to have the process started. And who knows like you might still be avail! Thanks
