Universal credit statements

I am coming to an end of my first assessment period with universal credit. The payment section stated that my statement will show on the 15th of June, although, when I log in there is no statement visible to show what my payment will be for the 21st of June.

Has anyone else had late statements issued after the date suggested? And could this be because the 15th falls on a Saturday ?

Hopefully someone can help 🙂

for a first payment there often wont be a statement until a day or so before it's due. And yes they often don't update at weekends.

I can't currently see my most recent one, so there may just be a problem with the system.

I can see all of the previous ones though.

I don't understand what you mean as you said in your first post that this was the end of your first assessment period then you say you can see previous statements indicating that this isn't your first assessment period ??

This is my first assessment period I applied on the 15th of May 2019 -14th June 2019 (assessment period) and my universal credit app states the statement will show on the 15th of June 2019 (which is meant to be today). I just find it to be very bad that they give you a date and the statement is not there on the date stated. Seems very unorganised . However if multiple people can’t see their most recent statements ,then there could be a system error that will hopefully rectify itself in the week.

It's not a system error - your assessment period ended on 14th June which was a Friday. They can't calculate your UC amount until the assessment period has ended and they know what income/ earnings you've had during that time. It's now the weekend so the statement probably wont be generated until Monday at the earliest. The system probably doesn't take what day of the week the 15th falls on but not much happens in UC terms at the weekend, the phone lines are closed etc.

Ok, yep that seems like the logical explanation. Many thanks . Hopefully this is the case
