Universal credit interview under caution

Has anyone had experience with this.
My husband works full time, they have these details correct, I've been a SAHM since having our child. Have no income myself.
I've been asked to go to an interview under caution for an 'allegation of undeclared income' for me. I don't understand this as it says online they only do this under caution if they have proof but they can't have as I haven't had any income.
Could my husband transferring money to my account have triggered this?
Is it possible that someone could have used my national insurance number without having to show ID of being me?

If you are living with someone who is your partner then your claim is based on your household income (that is your and your partner's income added together) rather than your income as an individual. If you have been claiming as an individual rather than as one half of a couple, this may be what has triggered the interview.

I'd suggest that you contact your local Citizen's Advice Bureau who will be able to offer advice specific to your circumstances.

OP says the DWP has her husband's information, so he is a party to the claim.

IUC's aren't necessarily only done if they have proof, or at least not definitive proof. It could be money going into your account, it could be something highlighted by data matching and HMRC have incorrect information against your NI number.

Give the compliance team a call and ask for more details. It sounds like something easily resolved.

Just go, be open, honest, talk to them like people. If it's a mistake, it'll be fixed. If they need info, you'll have opportunity to provide it.
It's stressful, the word under caution add weight to the chat, but best just approach it helpfully and openly.

It wouldn't surprise me.

Don't worry. If you've done nothing, they've got nothing

You haven't done anything wrong so try not to worry. You are a SAHM. Just go and be open. It sounds like it will be easily resolved
