Self employed and employed - NI

Hoping someone in the know can help as can't get through to hmrc (and thought it would be a quiet time of year!)
I have a job earning 30,000 and pay NI through Paye.
I am also self employed hence fill in a tax return. Last year my business only turned over 1300 so I don't HAVE to pay class 2 NIC. (only compulsory if turnover is over 6000 ish). However, I can pay voluntarily if I want to maintain rights to state pension.
My question is, won't the NI I pay through PAYE be enough to protect this right?

my understanding is YES but best to get it confirmed in writing from HMRC or find it on their website which is a bit of a rabbit warren

I had the same question last tax year and spoke to HMRC who basically said I was already covered so paying any more was voluntary
