Universal credit unearned income

Does anyone understand universal credit?
We are being moved over to universal credit and on entitled to it says they will take £603 in unearned income does anyone understand this?
My son is disabled which meant I had to give up work last year to look after him properly and unfortunately my partner is suffering badly with a mental health condition which has left him unable to work at the moment.
Any advice would be great.

The calculation could be including Contribution based as well, but if it was you need to remember that he would receive that ESA seperately to Uc so it wouldn't make any difference anyway - what has been deducted in their calculation would be paid to him seperately. they wont include that payment in a UC calculation because its paid separately. Sorry it is complicated and the online calculations perhaps don't explain very well how it works.
