How can I make £2000?

I’m probably not being realistic but I’m desperate.

I need to make some money for some repear costs, ideally around £2000, I am a single mum with 2 disabled kids, I work part time to fit around the kids and can’t really up my hours.

I will be eBaying stuff from around the house but probably won’t make a fortune after eBay and PayPal fees, will also do a car boot sale. Are there any other ways of making some money? My ex used to do match betting but I’m not sure I’m mathematically minded enough to do it.

matched betting isn’t complicated- have a look at the video Here that explains it and there’s a long running thread in money

I would steer away from boot sales, I have experienced nothing other than people stealing, and offering to pay no more than 10p for any item. Including a Nintendo Wii!

If you google there are lots of ways to do this, moneysaving epxert has some good forums, mystery shopping etc. What ever you do don't pay for anything, or anyone's advice on how to make money.

Have you spoken to your council about a hardship loan or a grant?

Thanks I will have a look, problem is ex husband used my name to open accounts when he was doing it so I’m unsure if I can open any new accounts in my name, I will have to have a closer look.

I’m not keen ipon the boot sale thing either, I have done them before and not made much money, I have made money from buying from them and selling on eBay but it’s a lot of hassle.

I don’t really want to borrow money, I already borrowed money last year for similar reasons and have almost paid it off, ideally I want to be debt free as my income isn’t huge, at the moment I have more going out than coming in as I’m trying to pay off what I owe on a credit card (should be paid off by July).
