it says if you are on benefits you are also on child tax credit, is this right?

hi jenk,

Sorry to hear about your DH. If you yourself are not working, he will need to put in a claim for incapacity benefit, or income support on grounds of incapacity - will need a doctor's note to support this. You ccn also claim child tax credit. In fact you don't need to be on benefits to get this, but if you are on benefits you definitley qualify.

Can he make an appointment at jobcentre plus? They will interview him, fill out the form at the same time, and should check his entitlement to other benefits eg housing benefit. If jobcentre plus aren't helpful, perhaps try CAB?
