The only difference in benefits will depend on whether your daughter needs more care than other children of her age. If she does then you can apply for Disability Living Allowance. If you are working full time then you will not qualify for carers allowance because you will be earning more than £120 per week. If DLA is awarded the tax credits should increase

I'm not sure what you would get, what extra financial support do you need that a parent of a child without a disability doesn't need? ie: motability if she is unable to walk anywhere, taxi to school if there are no appropriate schools within walking distance - that sort of thing.

DLA can cover autism but not always

So has your daughter had a diagnosis yet?
Does your Dd need more care than her peers?
DLA is not automatic and I think its getting a lot harder to make a successful claim.

I got DLA for my daughter before she had a formal diagnosis of autism. High rate care age 3, diagnosis age 4 and low rate mobility age 5. If you have documentary evidence (paediatrician, nursery, doctor etc) that your child needs more care than others their age then you can apply. Then other help stems from the DLA award - extra tax credits, family fund, grants and days out. We have had a lot of support that we couldn't have provided ourself.
