Tax Return - Declare bonus as lump sum payment?

Not sure what I am supposed to do here. It was paid by my employer and has been fully taxed and NI'd [sadly] under PAYE. Do I "declare it" as a lump sum payment under Additional Information? It's not even on my P60 as a standalone amount.

Bonuses are still taxable aren't they? Not sure why you need to do anything else?

Mine is already included within the total salary figure on my P60 - it's not listed separately.

No. I'm not sure what the lump sum section is for but it's not that. Bonuses are Income from Employment if they're on your payslip.

Fab. The advice notes are really unclear.

I live in horror of HMRC. I went back to work early during the first 6 months mat leave and couldn't get them to switch off my M.A. Then was treated like a tax evader when they finally switched off the payments and asked for the cash back.

It will be included on your P60 figure. HMRC don’t care whether you get it every month or once a year as long as it’s taxed via PAYE.

As said it will be in your employment details. Agree the notes are often very un helpful.
