For me, costaud would be conversational, descriptive, whereas if I was eg mail-ordering clothes and wanted to check fit, I would use trapu.
But I bet ChipButty studied French more recently than I did, so let's see what she and her chum think on this

Nighty NIght, do you have a Residence order in the England & Wales Court? If so your solicitor should be making an application for a prohibited steps order, enforceable under the Hague Convention.

thats what shes doing, but it isnt that simple. PR doc is not automatically accepted, you have to apply for it separately in french and german court, and the whole structure of how its done in england is completely different, so it is not just rubberstamping a translation of a document.

the whole thing is shit, I would advise anyone else who emigrates, and who has children from a previous marriage or relationship, to get this formalised in their new country of residence, even if its in the EU.
To save yourself from listening to hours of foreign policemen telling you that they cant do anything to get your children back.
