Pregnant- am I entitled to anything?

Hi everyone, advice needed please....
I have a 9 month old and have just found out I am pregnant with my second Smile
Before my first I worked full time and received statutory maternity pay for 9 months which ended on 12th Aug this year. I have not/am not returning to work out of choice as I will be full time carer for both children.
I believe that I will fall just outside of being eligible for maternity allowance due to my "employment" ending on 12th Aug (I presume) when my maternity pay ended. (I have calculated the 26 weeks in 66 weeks rule for maternity allowance).
Just wondering if I would be eligible for anything else?
My partner is full time employed earning £24k and the only thing I now receive is child benefit for my first.
Just trying to get my finances clear Smile
My due date at present will be 9th June 2019.

Are you still on mat leave? Have you resigned as you still count as employed when on the unpaid part of mat leave?

I have advised my employer I'm not returning so I assume my employment ended?
Am I therefore entitled to anything if maternity allowance doesn't apply?

on that wage you would be entitled to child tax credits or Universal credit depending whether the area you live in is a full service Uc area.

Oh really? Even though I'm choosing not to work?

While your child is a baby they won't try to force you to go to work. Apply for tax credits as the worst that can happen is that they say no

You might not get tax credits at the moment ( I think the cut off for one child is around 26k ) but definitely would for 2. Universal credit works very differently and would take rent ( if you pay rent) into account also. there is no expectation that you will work until your child is 3 on UC.
