Satisfied credit report

This summer my bank placed a default on an old account in error. They acknowledged it was a bank error and even financially reimbursed my as compensation for this (I have this in writing). They also stated they would remove the default from my credit file. However I have just looked on it and found that they have merely put the default as 'Satisfied' and as such my credit score is still being negatively affected. Does any one know where I stand with this - the default should never have been put on my score in the first place and they have in writing acknowledged that a default notice was never served and they will "remove" it. Help!

I think you can dispute it on your credit report, if you a noddle account go to financial information, closed accounts, drill into it and there is a 'dispute' button.

I'd go back to the bank firstly, they should be able to remove. They must have requested it as satisfied in error. They can just delete it. Unless they use a different process to what I know, unfortunately it can take up to 8 weeks to update with the credit reference agencies
