She has cash isa. I'm going to move some money into a proper junior stocks isa.

But in addition to that which she doesn't really have any idea about she has a simple building society book with 200 in.
I'd like her to take 100 and put it into stocks and shares so she can learn about both ways and learn how to manage them both, interest. Ups and downs.

Fun learning really as her main savings are elsewhere. Thanks

The Share Centre has practice accounts where you can "invest" up to £15,000 (not real money) in your choice of stocks and shares. This is a fun way of learning about investing but without spending any money. Once she gets the hang of it or spots an opportunity she could then jump in with real money. However, her £100 isn't going to go very far if there are trading fees account fees to pay.... will you be adding more in over time?

Oh thanks

I don't neccsary want her to start trading just perhaps invest in one or two funds? I'm new to this myself so I don't understand it.

I want her to choose something then just see it go up and down.

The idea being when she has her own money she will be confident to say right, put x in that fund... Blah in cash and so on

At the moment not adding anything.
This is very small account I try and put 5, or 10 or 15 in when I can.
It would just be learning but... If it does start to grow I guess we could add to it?

I use Hargreaves Lansdowne, and in the past Fidelity

I think both offer the full fund supermarket and the option of paying in from £25 pm.

So just playing with a practice account would be perfect from the sounds of it.
