Split very almost a yr ago from my ex, brough him out on the mortgage but he still wont collect his stuff.

He collected the majority of his stuff after solicitors letters which i can not afford to do. (it also shouldnt take a yr to get all his sodding poo out of my house)

I still have lots of garden stuff that is ours or is his.

When does it become mine?

In moral terms, its already yours! But I would write to him and give him 28 days to collect it with the proviso that if he doesn't do so you will dispose of it as you see fit. Sounds like he doesn't want it though. Wasn't it sorted in the divorce (or separation) papers?

Didnt have papers and not married. I had to get the solicitor to write to get him to pick up the household stuff after 6 months and it got nasty.

I told him he has until my birthday - 23rd june to collect the patio stuff or i chuck it but i want the garden stuff.

Ah - I see. Well then I guess he also has no papers to say who bought them?

No the patio set was a present to us over a yr ago. The rest of the stuff things like strimmers and power tools that sort of thing. There is other stuff which is out of site in the loft which i am more than happy to give and is things that i really dont want like playstation. old vids/cds his stuff.

Ah consider it yours and don't worry about it. Sounds like he's long gone and good riddance. You could always sell his stuff and go off on hols on the proceeds (that's a bit naughty but how's he to know?)

I wouldn't chuck it.

I'd sell it and treat myself to a nice spa day.
