How reliable is the 'entitled to' website?

Just that, really. Has anyone ever used it and not received the amount calculated by the website?
I have just been on the phone to Universal Credit people, enquiring about my first payment and the woman on the phone told me 'it won't be much because your earnings are high.' I said to her that yes but my rent is high too. I am now really worried. The website says I should get approx. £890 a month in Universal Credit. I earn £1800, my rent is £1250. I'm a single parent and have two kids (10 and 3). I work full time. Could the calculation be wrong?

@joliejoleen I know you posted this a while ago now but I am really hoping you will get this! I am in a very similar situation to yourself in that I am recently single and live in a private rented house with my 2 children. I work and have input all my info into all of the benefit calculators provided by the government which say I should recieve around £600 per month, give or take depending on which calculator you look at. I notice your payment wasn't too much different from what the calculator told you but I am in a right mess worrying about if I will get what they have said. Any reassurance or guidance you could give would be appreciated.

@1980Mom phone Citizens Advice dedicated UC helpline. They were so incredibly helpful when I used them last month and the figure they gave me was extremely accurate. Their number is 0800 144 8 444

I’ve found that speaking to UC themselves utterly useless. I got confusing and downright incorrect information when I spoke to them so I gave up!
