I need to cut my outgoings quite alot so looking for suggestions on how i can do this?.

Am ok with my groceries but its the companies that i need to reduce.

I am thinking the following.

Gas - 40.00 pm
Elecricity - 37.50 pm or the other way around.
Am tied into contract with Sky. 26.00 pm
Mobile coming to an end and not renewing.
Tv license - 26.00 but should be going down soon.
Water 250 per year
council tax 92.00 pm
Mortgage again tied in but will change shortly.

Life assurance asked for a new quote from my bank.

Can anyone think of any other ways to save?. My house is not huge but will hopefully get a lodger soon and i dont use my drier either.

does anyone know what info i need to change suppliers - i just got a bill.

Can i just change my home insurance at any time or will i be tied in?

thanks for reading.

Go to a comparison site like uswitch.com or confused.com and do a search to see what the best supplier is for you.

But don't switch through the site.

Sign up with up a cashback site such as quidco.com - then check to see whether your new chosen provider is on their site. I just switched to british gas and got £40 cashback.

You can also switch credit cards to 0% interest deals and if you have a good credit rating then get a cashback credit card. Our American Express gives us 2% cashback and we put all our day to day spending through it.

It is a cashback site - so if you do any want to do any online shopping you click through quidco and then you get a percentage of your spend back ie: Boden give you 8% or if you sign up for a service/credit card/insurance etc.. then you get a set amount.

Quidco charge you a fiver and then everything else belongs to you.
