I keep getting text messages, emails and phone calls (I have blocked these) from a debt collection agency. LOWELL. It states a name which is not mine.I don't recognize the name not previous home owner. I have had this phone number and email address from new. I think about 15 years maybe longer. I have never received any post from this company dont think they have my address we have lived her for 12 years. Sometimes I can get over 5 a day then nothing for a week or 2 then it starts again.
I have contacted them to say that they have the wrong number etc. But I still receive contact this has been going on for at least 12 months. We have never been in debt, what else can I do.

According to the link below.....

www.moneyadviceonline.co.uk/debt-advice/debt-collectors/lowell-portfolio-1-Ltd.html

"If you have received a letter from Lowell Portfolio 1 Ltd, you may feel that you are being chased for a debt that you do not think you owe.

They will probably have written to you claiming that you now owe them money, but they will never have lent you money or provided you with a service.

Lowell are a debt purchase and debt collection agency that buy and collect other companies debts, which is why you may not recognise them."

There is advice at that link

Op, You can write to them stating that you have never been in debt and asking them to remove all your contact data from their database under the terms of GDPR. Also state that if they continue to harass you, you will lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioners Office, and pursue them for damages. Send this both by email, timed & dated, and by recorded delivery.

If you hear from them again, email the information commissioners office and make a formal complaint.
