Universal Credit help?? Holiday pay from previous job

Hi all.
I made a claim for universal credit at the start of this month, I have yet to recieve any payment as I am still in the “assessment period” and am due to be paid in 17 days if I’m eligible. I was on maternity leave, and I handed in my notice last month, and started a claim with universal credit, when I applied for universal credit online I selected that I “Am not expected any earnings from my previous job within the next month”, which at the time I did not realise that I would, but I have just checked my old bank account that I used when I was working and they have paid me over £500 holiday pay that I did not take as leave, which I must have accruted whilst I was on my maternity leave. Does anyone know if this Is this considered as earnings, would I need to change my application? P.s I have had to get a advance loan of £500 from them as I haven’t had any income in nearly a month now and didn’t realise that I had any other funds coming in. Thanks for your help

I'm not sure op but honestly just ring and ask. It's not worth getting in trouble or sanctioned by them!

It would be classed as earnings and affect the amount paid for the assessment period but following payments would be full.

If it was earnings paid in the assessment period then it will be counted as income and will reduce any UC that you were due. I'm not sure there is anything you can do about it as if you have been paid it then they will just see it that you ned less UC to live on. There's no harm in ringing them but I doubt it will change anything because it's income.

Send a message to your work force online detailing the payment and you should receive a payslip also. There is time in this assessment period for the work coach to amend your claim in this period.

You'll likely be asked to attend a further evidence interview where you can submit the evidence. Etc.
