Working tax credit - are we being overpaid?

I've had issues with tax credits in the past, with them over paying me, etc and now I'm paranoid this is about to happen again.

Long story short, husband recently started a new job, after long term illness, job is 38 hours/week at minumum wage, meaning his yearly salary is £15552 before tax.

Anyway, updated my tax credits claim and, as I expected, my child tax stays the same and is due to be paid as normal, but they are also paying working tax credits, two one off payments of £406.10 and £375.56 and then £375.53 every 4 weeks.

I'm just wanting some advice on this, I've rang and queried it and the gentleman laughed at me, saying that's what has been calculated from the info I gave. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Do you work ? It sounds high. the cut off for working tax credits is around 17k I think so you are not far off that. Do they know your estimated income for this year.?

That does sound a little high for WTC.
I often use the HMRC calculator to double-check my payments, so you could try that too?
Or I can calculate it for you if you're happy to give a few more details?
I'm always paranoid about overpayments lol, so I've become a fairly dab hand at spotting issues.

I don't work, only my husband does. I have given them all my information twice (the first person didn't actually update my account, so I had a phonecall from them on Saturday).

I know the first payment would include some back dated money, but even so, it seems like a hell of a lot. It annoys me that they don't actually take overpayments seriously and yet give you a deadline to pay them back for their error!
