Rights for a faulty car

So I bought a car, 7 years old 42k miles for £6750 from a main dealers (nissan). After 2 months it developed a noise which turned out to be alternator pulley and timing chain tensioner seized. So under warranty they changed the chain and pulleys, it took about 3 weeks to do. Got thr car back, great all is well.
Fast forward a couple more months so I have had the car now 5 months, the car is making the same noises as it did before.

I have had enough now, as far as I believe it I can refuse warranty work and get a refund under the consumer goods act or something? I have given them an opportunity to fix the issue once and it hasnt been done properly. I know they can take some money off the refund for "fair use". I have done 3000 miles.

Advice please as I'm sick to death of the car now .

From my experience you have to give them "reasonable" chance to fix the fault. Having worked in the motor trade I have seen customers having to bring back brand new 60k cars 3-4 times in order to be fixed before they were able to hand the car back.

In the defence of the garage it may be that the parts fitted were faulty... Which does sometimes happen and is not their fault . I would have it looked at first and go from there but perhaps kick up a fuss for a courtesy car as 3 weeks without your car is not acceptable

It's booked in to the nissan dealer I bought it off for their diagnosis to determine fault. Then they said we'll go from there so we will see what happens
