Maternity pay confusion

Hi all,

Could someone help me understand my maternity pay and how long I'll be receiving it for in the most basic terms?

Okay. Im taking a year off work. My company offers 100% of my pay (inclusive of smp) for the first 26 weeks. Then smp for 13 weeks then 13 weeks unpaid.

So for 6 months I'll be receiving full pay. However we're paid 4 weekly and have 7 paydays left for the year. Im now confused as to when my full pay will end and ill go down to just smp. My next day pay is on the 4th of July and this pay already includes my smp. So will i go down to just smp in December or January?

HR not open until Monday and im worried that ive messed my budget up by thinking im getting paid for longer than i am.

Thanks for your advice :)

Well it will still be 6 months regardless of pay date

Your full pay will be for 6 months. Then SMP for a further 13 weeks.

It doesn't matter when your pay day is. One of your pay packets will be made up of part full pay and part SMP. Then your last pay packet will be part SMP, part nothing.

Your full pay will end 26 weeks after your mat leave began. If this is halfway through a 4 week pay period then you will be paid full pay for the 1st part of the 4 weeks and SMP for the latter part of the 4 week pay period.
