Just starting this re my late Dad’s estate. I know there is an upper limit under which no tax is paid but the govt. website states that if a property is being given to child/children of the deceased, the tax free limit rises to £425K. My Dad has willed his house to me however, I can’t see anywhere on the form I’m completing where I can make this point so as to claim the increased threshold. Can anyone please help?

I'm guessing that you are completing IHT205 or its equivalent. Surprise! there's another form.

Thank you so much. I hadn’t found that one! 💐
